The kanji 継 carries meanings related to continuing, inheriting, and carrying something forward. Its structure includes the 糸 (ito) radical, associated with thread, silk, and woven material.
This work incorporates both contemporary and historical forms of the kanji, drawing attention to the changing visual structures of written characters over time.
