Character Note

This work explores the Japanese character midori (緑), meaning green.

The character 緑 includes the 糸 (ito) radical, associated with thread, silk, and woven material. The work deconstructs the character into its individual components, isolating and repeating the water-associated form (水) and the 彐 (keigashira) component.

These elements are reorganized into a continuous sequence of marks.
