[COMMON GROUND]
An Invitation to Let Go
Annual Participatory Burn Work — Winter 2026
Common Ground is a participatory burn work exploring shared experiences of transition, memory, and release.
For the first edition of Common Ground, I invite you to reflect on:
What are you ready to release?
As we move through the end of the year, what weight, memory, habit, expectation, or experience are you ready to leave behind?
Your anonymous response will become part of a collective offering, gathered and transformed into a new burn work. Through material transformation, individual reflections become traces within a shared landscape.
Participation is free and open to all. Submissions may be a single word, a sentence, a memory, a song, or anything you feel represents what you are ready to release. Responses will remain anonymous and will be used as source material for the creation of the artwork.
Upon completion, participants will receive first access to view the finished work and the opportunity to acquire it before it is made available publicly.
PArticipation GUIDELINES
Participation is free.
Submissions are anonymous.
Each person may submit one reflection.
Responses may be brief or expansive; there is no required format.
Submitted reflections will inform the creation of the final artwork but may not appear literally within the finished piece.
The completed artwork will be created and exhibited as part of the Common Ground series.
Participants will receive priority access to the completed work before public release.
